Ei Team Posts

To add a member of the Ei Team, you will need two images of their logo sized as follows:

  1. 600 px wide by 450 px tall horizontal image 72 dpi with the logo in center. This appears in the team grid where members are displayed side by side. All images for all team members must the same size and shape.
  2. 865 px wide by any height image 72 dpi with logo cropped with about 20 px of white space between logo and border. This appears on the team member’s individual post.

To add a new member:

  1. In WordPress Dashboard click on Posts and then New Post.
  2. When the post opens, use the Divi Builder and enable the Visual Builder.
  3. It is best to choose to clone an existing team member’s page, as you then inherit the correct styles and format.
  4. Replace the image module in the layout with your 865 px wide image.
  5. In lower right delete any Featured Image and replace with your 600 x 450 px image.
  6. Replace the text module with the team member’s copy. At the end of the copy we usually include the contact’s name, phone, email and website link. If you paste in text copied from another website, be sure to switch to TEXT mode in the editor (not Display mode) and remove any HTML tags that may come from copying from some other site.
  7. In the WordPress Excerpt box (below the main section) enter the contact info that will appear on the team grid below the logo, typically consisting of person’s name, phone, email, and website. Note that you must add a <br> at the end of each line to insure that when displayed the lines break (<br> is html for line break).  Also, the website text can become a link by wrapping html around it such as <a href=”http://urlforsite.com” target=”_blank”>urlforsite.com</a>
  8. Assign this post to the correct category by checking a box in right column.

Leadership Posts

Leadership posts of people are displayed in date order with the most recent shown first. You can rearrange the order by changing the published date of a person’s post in the the WordPress editor. It is easiest to do this when looking in Dashboard at a list of all posts and clicking the Quick Edit button which allows you to change the date without having to open the entire post in the editor.

To add a person to the leadership or advisory council, you will need an image sized as follows:

  1. 600 px wide by 450 px tall horizontal image 72dpi framed head and shoulders only. This appears in the leadership grid where members are displayed side by side. All images for all members must the same size and shape.

To add a new member:

  1. In WordPress Dashboard click on Posts and then New Post.
  2. When the post opens, use the Divi Builder and enable the Visual Builder.
  3. It is best to choose to clone an existing leadership member’s page, as you then inherit the correct styles and format.
  4. Replace the image module in the layout with the 600 x 450 px image
  5. In lower right delete any Featured Image and replace with the same 600 x 450 px image.
  6. Replace the text module with the member’s copy.
  7. In the WordPress Excerpt box (below the main section) enter a short sentence or two that will be the excerpt shown on the leadership grid page above the Read More button. If you do not enter an except then WordPress will take the first few words of the text module, so crafting a better Excerpt is recommended.
  8. Assign this post to the correct category by checking a box in right column.
  9. Click the Publish button.
