What We Do

Elemental Impact is a U.S-based nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing regenerative operating practices to the corporate community. Committed to effective action, Ei projects create easy-to-implement templates that make good business sense.

Ei’s tagline – Regeneration in ACTION! – is the foundation for Ei endeavors.

Working within three platforms, Ei initiatives forge industry frontiers with simple solutions to replace wasteful | toxic standard operating practices with an emphasis on rejuvenating Soil Health and improving Water Use | Toxicity.

The following mantra is at the core of Ei work:

Ei is a creator, an incubator.
Ei determines what could be done that is not being done and gets it done.
Ei brings the possible out of impossible.
Ei identifies pioneers and creates heroes.

Once templates are created, tested and replicated, Ei’s work is complete in the particular area. New frontiers await the Ei Team!

Platforms:

Soil Health

Regenerating the foundation of life

Initial work relates to the education of depleted soils’ direct relationship with the carbon crisis, out-of-balance carbon cycles, contaminated waterways, excessive water usage, erosion control, stormwater management, and production of nutritious food. In addition, Ei addresses the microplastic pollution within the soils, similar to the plastic smog prolific in the ocean. Soil Health is Ei’s primary focus.

The inaugural Soil Health focus areas are:

Water Use | Toxicity

The Water Footprint: a regenerative standard

The water footprint is as or more important than the carbon footprint. Global warming garners the headlines using the carbon footprint as the accepted sustainability measurement tool. The fact water is immediately essential to sustaining life seems ignored. The Ei Conscious Cleaning Initiative is the active Water Use | Toxicity focus area.

Product Stewardship

Integrity throughout the entire product life-cycle

Holographic integrity, encompassing the entire value chain and product lifecycle, is integral to Ei initiatives. Product Stewardship is an important avenue to explore as programs dive deeper into the manufacturing and production practices | processes. The Ei PetroWax-Free Box Initiative was announced at the 2015 Ei Partner Meeting.

Along with the July 2017 Soil Health Platform announcement, the Recycling Refinement (with a strong focus on Post-Consumer Food Waste) evolved into Mission Accomplished!

Ei Industry Experts | Pioneers:

The Ei Team is comprised of Ei Industry Experts and Ei Industry Pioneers. Experts educate, advise and provide support as the Pioneers craft new standard operating practices that make good business and environmental sense. Once tested and proven effective, the Pioneers share the evolved practices with their industry colleagues.
